About the Construction TeamFrom Passive House design and construction to high quality joinery finishes, we pride ourselves in creating quality, sustainable and beautiful buildings using natural and durable materials.
Specialising in low energy, high performance buildings, our timber frame houses begin life in our house building factory, in Wales. The fully engineered, insulated and air-tight closed panels are then transported to site. A weather protected structure can be assembled in only a few days by our Construction team.
Our experienced construction team specialise in bringing designs to life, manufacturing timber frame buildings in our factory and finishing projects on site.
Whilst I work alongside Jasper in the running of PYC, my focus is overseeing our construction projects, liaising with Francis and our construction team to ensure their success. I work closely with suppliers and sub-contractors to get the best quality and sustainable products. My original training as a furniture maker shows in my critical eye for detail to finishes in our buildings.
I oversee projects through from manufacture to site installation and sign-off, my focus being to ensure your project runs smoothly. This could involve discussions with suppliers, hauliers, your architect, and visits to site, to ease the pressure on you. My placement year in aeronautical engineering was my first exposure into industry in a high precision manufacturing environment; as well as technical development, this gave me a solid foundation for problem solving and planning skills in a fast paced working environment.
Passive House Consultant
I work in our Design team but also support Construction to ensure a smooth transition from the project design phase into construction. My main responsibility is for the construction detailing of our projects, including the design of our timber frames. As a trained Passive House Consultant I complete calculations on PHPP as well as thermal bridge and air tightness detailing.
I assist Sam with timber frame production drawings for our factory team. Once a week I study at University of South Wales for (Higher National Certificate) course in civil engineering, and to progress to become a civil engineer.
